Jones tipped as best young up-and-comer by peers

Zeal Jones has been ranked as the best up-and-coming star in the Brian Green Property Group New Zealand Rally Championship by his peers.

Jones burst onto the scene with a spectacular victory in the Rally Challenge 4WD class last year before making an impressive step up to NZRC 4WD in 2024.

While he has been hampered by some mechanical issues, Jones has managed to score a solid haul of points, and his speed and maturity has not been lost on his rivals.

In a recent competitor survey, half of the respondents nominated Jones as the best future star of the sport.

He scored twice as many votes as second placed Jack Stokes, who has also turned heads with his performances in his rookie season this year.

Others to get reconised were Bryn Jones, Jonty Brenssell, Caleb MacDonald and Jared Parker, while one competitor nominated the very talented youngster Brian Green!
