New Zealand’s fastest brother and sister, Matt and Nicole Summerfield, are not only chasing glory with their Brian Green Property Group New Zealand Rally Championship driven by VINZ campaign, they are also raising money to support Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand.

At the two rounds of the NZRC to date, the pair have raised in excess of $2000 for the charity with a raffle at round one in Whangarei and a highly successful auction at round two in Dunedin. In both cases, the team have been able to offer up prizes kindly donated.

“Unfortunately at the start of the year, a close family friend of ours lost her battle with CF. It really is a horrible, horrible illness,” says Nicole. “We thought that while touring around the country with the NZRC, it was a great chance for us to be able to raise some money for the charity. So far we have had great support and the amount of money we have raised is amazing, but we want to find new ways to raise more and more. In the fight against Cystic Fibrosis, every dollar counts.”

For this coming weekend’s round of the NZRC, the Lone Star Rally Canterbury, the Matt Summerfield Rallisport team will be running a guided tour, with assistance from Stadium Cars, around the event where punters will get a guided tour of the action on both Saturday night and Sunday with a percentage of proceeds going to Cystic Fibrosis NZ. The team are also planning a tyre changing competition the following weekend at the Ashley Forest Rally Sprint.

Matt Summerfield Rallisport would like to acknowledge their sponsors, without whom their 2014 campaign would not be possible: Castrol Edge, Autotech Services, NAC Insurance, North Canterbury Energy Centre, The Gearbox Company, Chatterton Builders, Gull Fuels, Liquorland, Ashby Engineering, I C Frith Insurance Brokers and No Limit Construction.
