VINZ support to drive New Zealand Rally Championship

The 2014 National Rally title will officially be known as the Brian Green Property Group New Zealand Rally Championship -driven by VINZ, with the announcement today of Vehicle Inspection New Zealand (VINZ) as a new addition to the family of sponsors.

VINZ is a leading supplier of vehicle inspection and certification in New Zealand including warrant and certificates of fitness, vehicle appraisals and inspections as well as driver and vehicle licensing.

Rallying is not new to VINZ, who entered into a partnership with Hayden Paddon last season for his campaigns within the World Rally Championship and New Zealand Rally Championship. Off the back of this success, VINZ is increasing their commitment within the sport by also joining the NZRC for 2014. The company have also confirmed their naming rights sponsorship of New Zealand’s only international rally for 2014, the VINZ International Rally of Whangarei, which is the opening round of the FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship as well as the NZRC.

VINZ CEO Frank Willett is excited by the companies increased involvement within the spectacular sport of rallying. “VINZ has always had close affiliations with those in the sport and the time is now right to take things to a new level. I am proud to see our brand associated with such a high profile event as the NZRC.”

As chairman of Rally New Zealand, the promoters of the NZRC, Peter ‘PJ’ Johnston is excited to bring a new sponsor into the championship family. “We are very excited about VINZ joining our family of sponsors. There are some great synergies as VINZ are involved in the motor industry with their car inspection business and we can see they are passionate about our sport with their support of Hayden Paddon.”

The 2014 Brian Green Property Group New Zealand Rally Championship driven by VINZ kicks off with the VINZ International Rally of Whangarei on 11-13 April, before travelling to Dunedin, Christchurch, Masterton, Whitianga and wrapping up in the Manawatu in late September.
