Youngster Grant doing his bit for charity

Jordan Grant’s car carries the logo of a cause close to his heart as he competes in the 2021 Brian Green Property Group New Zealand Rally Championship.

The talented Grant is one of several youngsters cutting their teeth in the FIA Group N 2WD class of the championship and he has used a very unique sponsorship to help him achieve his goals while also serving a purpose.

Grant’s Suzuki Swift carries the logo of Diabetes NZ Youth. The organisation does a great service to those people that suffer from diabetes, especially youngsters.

The sponsorship is actually paid for by extended family members that have a strong connection to the disease.

“My two aunts have suffered from type 1 diabetes most of their lives and they wanted to help me to achieve my rallying dreams,” Grant said. “We thought it would be really cool to promote Diabetes NZ Youth,” Grant said. “They’re a great organisation and diabetes is a life-changing and life-threatening disease.

“We are proud to do our small bit to help promote the charity.”

Grant is competed in the International Rally of Whangarei brought to you by Mark Cromie Motor Group over the weekend.
